doc. MUDr. Silvia Toporcerová, PhD., MBA
Medical Director, gynaecologist - reproductive specialist
Associate Professor Toporcerová is a recognized figure in assisted reproductive medicine in Slovakia. She is the Medical director and a Principal investigator at Gyncare. She has been working in reproductive medicine for more than 20 years.
After graduating, she joined the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the Faculty of Medicine of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, with the first assisted reproduction centre in Slovakia, which she has been the head of for several years since 2007.
- 2003 – 1st level attestation in obstetrics and gynaecology
- 2005 –PhD. in assisted reproduction
- 2007 – 2nd level attestation in obstetrics and gynaecology
- 2011 – Defends dissertation of The role of luteinizing hormone in in vitro fertilization cyclesand obtains the title of Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice
- 2012 – Specialization in Reproductive Medicine – Institute for Postgraduate Education in Health Care, Prague
She is also currently involved in research projects at the UPJŠ Faculty of Medicine and Gyncare, focusing mainly on topics related to reproductive medicine, such as the non-invasive selection of healthy embryos, modification of the endometrium with the aim to promote embryo implantation and the possibilities of increasing the success rate of artificial insemination.
She is vice-president of the Assisted Reproduction Committee of the SGPS (Slovak Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics) and a member of ESHRE.
She has published several professional monographs, university textbooks, textbooks and professional scientific articles. Co-author of two patent applications.
She spends most of her spare time primarily with her two children. Her hobbies include travelling and exploring new cultures.
