Duostim IVF cycle
The Duostim protocol is a procedure suitable for patients with low egg yield during oocyte retrieval, in whom small follicles are still present on the ovaries after puncture, in which it is assumed that they could respond to further hormonal stimulation. In this case, further hormonal stimulation of the ovaries is continued immediately after egg retrieval, and a second egg retrieval is performed within 2 weeks after the first procedure.
The price of the cycle includes a schedule of the stimulation protocol, monitoring of the ovarian response during controlled ovarian stimulation, timing of egg retrieval, 2 × ultrasound guided egg retrieval under short-term anesthesia, search for cumulus-oocyte complexes in the obtained fluid, their preincubation, egg fertilization using the conventional insemination method (addition of swim-up processed sperm to the eggs), cleaning of the eggs, evaluation of their fertilization and embryo culture until day 2-3 after fertilization in a conventional large-capacity incubator.
The price also includes the first transfer of a thawed embryo to the uterus in the next cycle, as this type of protocol does not include fresh embryo transfer. Embryo cryopreservation is not included in the price.
